Artist statement
"After over 40 years of art I still believe in the passion for it and I continue to explore the possibilities.
Overall I want to be myself and express my creativity with my love for colors and music. "
"My art is expressing energy, music and a poetry of images usually in a semi abstract style.
I am interested in integrating and adapting my art in your home; working with decorators or people doing staging.
My art is very flexible to adapt the colors to people's preferences. "

BIOGRAPHY
Louise studied in Québec and completed an Art degree at the University of Laval in 1978. She has pursued her studies in poetry, linguistics and education. Louise has been working with pastels for many years and has shown her work in solo exhibitions and the Kanata Art Club throughout the Quebec and Ottawa regions. In her leisure time, when working as a full time teacher, she developed her style with pastels, acrylics and mixed- media.
Her strengths have always been the orchestration of colours and rhythm, influenced by her poetry writing and also through choreographies created for children during her teaching career.
Her musical and poetic style is now represented in a more abstract expression using papers and acrylics. This is a collection of paintings done like choreographies of birds made with prints coming out with inspiration and love for nature: water, trees, mountains and the sky." My new collection is called “The Birds dance."
